“Serving 3,000 patients in Liberia was one of the most incredible experiences I’ve had in dental care.”

Monika graduated from the Dental Hygiene Diploma Program at Vancouver Island University in 2009, and moved to the North Shore as it offers many similarities to the peaceful, quieter-living of the Island. In 2011, she successfully completed the Bachelor of Dental Hygiene Sciences at the University of British Columbia, and in 2016 accepted a part-time clinical instructor position at the University. In 2012, Monika had the privilege to travel to Africa to volunteer with S.W.A.M. medical and dental team on a medical missionary trip. The team of twenty-three worked in two rural villages and served 3,000 patients. Through rigorous education and clinical practice, she has developed the highest standard of care with the gentle touch for her patients.
