Bel Canto has been a vibrant part of the local community in West Vancouver for a very long time, and over the years Dr. Mackie has grown to know and appreciate his fabulous patients. Here’s a look at why we have chosen to rebrand the clinic as Bel Canto Dental.
While many who visit this clinic are locals, the dental centre is also popular with people much further afield and who travel from downtown Vancouver, Abbotsford, and Chilliwack.
Even though the office has been here for over 20 years, it never really needed a web presence as the dental services offered are always in high demand. Many people who see us are long-term and extremely loyal patients and who often refer friends and family, ensuring that our dentist Dr. Euan Mackie and his team are always busy.
The vision to rebrand the dental office has been with Dr. Mackie for quite some time. With his love of opera already incorporated into so many areas of the clinic, it just made sense to create a new brand around the opera theme. Bel Canto, which is Italian for “beautiful singing,” was the perfect name.
Launching a new website after all these years without one is an excellent way to introduce Bel Canto’s new logo and to ensure that everyone is aware of the facilities offered at the clinic.
Long history, modern technology
We might have been here in West Vancouver a long time, but Bel Canto is a very modern dental office, equipped with the very latest digital dentistry and technologies, providing our patients with the very highest standards of dental care.
Our new website and rebranding simply “puts the polish” on the great dental services we proudly offer at our clinic. Our aim isn’t to sell our dental office, but we do want to provide information about our services and our holistic approach to dentistry.

Our office is amalgam-free, and we use non-fluoridated products because Dr. Mackie doesn’t feel comfortable about the potential toxicity of fluoride. In keeping with our holistic approach to dental health, we also like to discuss other factors that can affect oral health and general health, including diet and foods. Clinical studies are increasingly highlighting the close connection between oral health and systemic health, and we want to ensure our patients have all the information required to make more informed decisions concerning their health.

Bel Canto has always been owned by Dr. Mackie whereas many dental offices have sold out but haven’t informed their patients of the change of ownership. Dr. Mackie lives locally, and when someone is in trouble he will frequently open the office at weekends or out of hours, and he doesn’t even mind if patients need to contact him at home.
Our dental team is also fun! Instead of sitting you in the dental chair with a TV remote and ignoring you while we work on your mouth, we actually talk to you because we enjoy getting to know our patients. It’s part of the reason why people are so loyal to our dental practice.
Additionally, we don’t believe in cookie-cutter solutions as every treatment is customised for each person, provided by a team that truly cares.
